Terms of Service

Last updated: August 22, 2026. These Terms govern your use of Waypoint and form an agreement between you and Pedro Antunes, the operator of the service in Portugal. By using Waypoint, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility and account

  • You must be legally able to use the service in your jurisdiction.
  • You are responsible for maintaining account credential security.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account.

2. Service description

Waypoint is a private collaborative travel planning service. Features may evolve over time, and some features may require a paid subscription.

3. Acceptable use

  • No unlawful, abusive, fraudulent, or infringing activity.
  • No harassment, threats, impersonation, exploitation, or exposure of another person’s private information.
  • No hateful, sexual, violent, deceptive, spam, or scam content that violates these Terms or applicable law.
  • No misuse of reporting or safety tools to target another person.
  • No unauthorized access attempts.
  • No interference with service integrity, availability, or security.
  • No sharing content you do not have rights to share.

4. User content

  • You retain ownership of your content.
  • You grant Waypoint a limited license to host/process/display content to operate the service.
  • Shared trip participants may view and edit content according to permissions.

5. Paid subscriptions

  • Billing is handled by Apple under App Store terms.
  • Pricing and renewal terms are shown at purchase time.
  • Manage or cancel subscriptions through Apple account settings.

6. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for Terms violations or security, safety, or legal requirements. You may stop using the service at any time and can delete your account from the app settings.

7. Reports and moderation

  • You can report another user or a specific public trip and can block or unblock another user.
  • We may review reports, preserve relevant safety records, remove content, restrict features, or suspend accounts.
  • Public text may be screened before and after publication.
  • Reports are allegations, not automatic findings, and do not guarantee a particular outcome.
  • We do not disclose the reporter’s identity except when legally required.

8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

Waypoint is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

To the extent permitted by law, Waypoint and affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits/data/use.

9. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes become effective when posted unless otherwise stated.
